86,000 Hours Later...
This month, the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOP-KC) is celebrated its ten year anniversary. On May 7th 1999, we began worship and intercession 13 hours a day, which expanded to 24/7 on September 19th of the same year. That’s 86,115 hours of prayer meetings, not including additional prayer meetings held outside our main prayer room! From the beginning, every prayer meeting has been lead by full teams of singers and musicians, and has focused on praying for revival in the Church, awakening and justice and transformation in our society, and the completion of the Great Commission world-wide.
Our initial facility was simply a few trailers put together, while our current prayer room seats 800. Earlier this year we closed on 125 acre property which will house a significantly expanded center for all of our prayer, teaching and outreach ministries.
This month also marks my fifth year anniversary in full-time ministry with IHOP-KC. I am extremely grateful to God for allowing me to be an agent of His Kingdom through this ministry and am grateful to all of you have made this possible through your prayer and financial support. The many lives impacted through our prayer, discipleship, teaching and outreach ministries owe you an undying thanks.
Thanks and God Bless,
